Is it embarrassing to go on a free online date?

There are many great articles available that can provide you with many good places to go on a completely free online date.  Still the question remains is there anything wrong with going on a free online date?  The answer is that there is nothing wrong with going on a free date.  In fact, some of the best dates that I have ever had have been the free dates.  This is because these dates have required the most creativity and thoughtfulness.  A free date requires that the person taking you out has a plan. And there is nothing sexier than a person with a plan, and the confidence to implement that plan.

A friend of mine was very nervous the other date when she had a date to go on because she made quite a bit more money than the person she was going on a date with.  She had had problems in the past with men wanting to pay for everything, and not having the funds.  This is where I stepped in and suggested the free date.  At first she laughed, but once I started explaining some of the benefits of the free date she started to take me seriously.  I suggested that she take him to the local wildlife museum, which also had a very inexpensive cafe.  The museum had no admission cost, so the question of who would pay became moot.  She took my suggestion and ended up having a wonderful time with the man.  They are going to see each other again.

Going to a museum, historic location, or outdoor location (weather permitting) can be a great way to spice up a date.  There are always things that you can talk about, and a lot of people never take the time to experience these kinds of things on a date.  Even staying in with a decent bottle of wine and a good movie can be fun in the right circumstances.

The most important thing is not how much money you have, rather, it is considering what the person you are with would like to do.  If you know your date hates hiking do not take them to the local mountain and suggest that you climb it together.  On the flip side if your date loves art, it might be a smart plan to take them to a local art walk or art museum.  Almost all towns have beautiful art walks, and it is particularly enjoyable if the weather is nice. 

Put some thought into the date.  Since you cannot but a good time you are going to have to put some extra thought into your date.  Your date will appreciate this thought.  A free online date may not be the right thing for every occasion, but from time to time it can definitely spice up a first date or an ongoing relationship. 

To answer the original question posed at the beginning of this article there is nothing wrong or embarrassing with deciding to go on a free date with someone.  If you have never tried it out, what are you waiting for?  You might end up having a better time than you though possible
